Study areas for reindeer herding in Russia Interviews have been undertaken in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug (NAO), in the region north of Naryan Mar in the kolkhoz Vyucheiskogo and in a community of private reindeer herders, Ilebts. Additional information was gathered in Naryan Mar from indigenous peoples representatives and administrative officials, from a Case study from Lovozero on the Kola Peninsula, and through previous interviews with herders in the neighbouring Yamal-Nenets region.
