Spring: According to our model results, the mean temperature in the Swedish reindeer grazing areas increases until 2050 by 3°C in March and May, and 4°C (locally even 5°C) in April compared with the period 1979-2000. The snow season will end earlier and spring will start earlier in the future. In March, the precipitation (as snow or rain) will increase by 20% to 30% until 2050 and in the east locally up to 40% compared with the period 1979-2000.
